It is a simplistic view of America. Joe Six Pack is the nickname for lower middle class, working class schmucks who apparently make up the majority of America. It is a play to those working class votes that will decide this election. She is trying to say she is one of them since McCain is so obviously an elite.
You would think she would say “Jane” but who knows.
